I am a painter of colours and strange imaginary stories from my own imagination.

I have painted my whole life, and that is no exaggeration. I did my first mural painting at the age of 4. When I was 15 years old I sold my first abstract painting. Painting means for me passion and vocation but also years of practice, experiments, learning techniques, making mistakes and hard work.

My creations are extremely varied: from 2-dimensional figurative paintings, modern figurative, through surreal, fantastic, semi-abstract, abstract, 3-dimensional collages, installations and murals, to video-art. I always combine my works into cycles, such as the Peter Pan Series, Metropolis Series, Eye Series, Devon Series, Contemporary Art in the Community (video art project) or Brain Series.

Things that definitely have had a big impact on me as an artist are:  knowledge (I am a book addict), other artists, art history, the space and environment that surround me in both the literal and metaphorical sense.

I think that our existence in a philosophical/cosmic sense is irrelevant. Compared to the history and the dimension of the universe we humans are nothing. Because of that we shouldn’t take ourselves so damn seriously. If we could do this our lives would be 100% more tolerable. Our lives are also often very difficult, too harsh to be taken seriously. This does not mean that we should not respect this world and the creatures that live in this world.

I have lived in several countries with different political systems, diverse cultures, different languages, peoples, and landscapes and that fact has had some significant influence on my development and growth as a human being.

I was born in Poland in the very intriguing, multicultural but in some respects ugly city of Lódz. However I left it after becoming Master of Arts at the University of Lódz.

I studied art formally from the age of 12 till 19 at private art schools and ateliers.

Most of my paintings have been sold to private collectors from around the world, approximately 149 works in total to 79 collectors, two art galleries and the Museum of Fine Art in USA.
